Ms. Tiew was a cornerstone of my success at Raffles Junior College. As a national swimmer, I often missed classes due to competitions, representing Singapore nine times during JC1. After scoring an 'S' in H2 Biology at the promotional exams, I began tuition with Ms. Tiew. Within three months, her unwavering positivity and patience helped me achieve an 'A' in CT1 during JC2, a grade I maintained through to my A levels.
Ms. Tiew became more than just a tutor; she was a confidante and is now a close friend. Her expertise allowed her to structure lessons and highlight key points effectively. Ms. Tiew prepared me so well for examinations that I knew the answers even before finishing reading the questions.
I am deeply grateful for Ms. Tiew's support and dedication. Any student taught by her will undoubtedly see significant improvements.

Ms Tiew taught me during my last few months prior to my A levels. I was failing Biology in my 2nd year of JC after playing too much in my 1st year. My mum read about Ms Tiew being a passionate and effective biology tutor and wanted me to sign up for tutoring. However, I was initially very resistant as I thought Biology was all about memory work and I just needed to work harder, but Ms Tiew showed me methods to remember the concepts and answer the questions accurately. Ms Tiew also cared for my growth as a person, guiding me as I chased my dreams. When I scored an A for my A level Biology, I knew she had already proven me wrong about her tutoring, but more than the score I got I had also gained a mentor.

Mrs Betty is an extraordinary tutor. Her mentorship in Biology not only improved my grades, but cultivated a genuine interest in the content of the subject. Her classes are a mix of hard work and laughter amongst the group. Till today, I carry the fondest gratitude for the guidance Mrs Betty has provided me with.

Ms Tiew’s biology lessons provided a strong foundation that allowed me to build a good understanding of the concepts being tested and the correct way to answer the questions being posed. With her assistance, I was able to improve from an E to an A, and it also helped nurture my overall interest in biology. Her classes were fun and interactive and made learning enjoyable. Would strongly recommend.

Miss Tiew is one of the best teachers I ever had! She always breaks down complex concepts into simpler terms for us to understand and apply; she provides a wealth of resources including extra notes and practice questions; she always goes the extra mile to take good care of her students. I definitely would not have been able to score well for biology without her patience and expert guidance :)

Ms Tiew’s Bio Tuition really helped me get that A for A-Levels. She gives topical notes that are comprehensive and a good addition to what’s being taught at JC. Ms Tiew offers structured approach in tackling commonly asked questions and gave us plenty of practice to hone our abilities. Ms Tiew is also a really caring teacher and we still keep in touch years after graduating. I would definitely recommend Ms Tiew’s classes to anyone taking Biology in JC!

In my tutoring journey with Ms Tiew, I was well taken care of as she is a highly dedicated teacher and would often check in to make sure we are coping well. With her teaching style and notes, she makes challenging concepts easy to understand. She would tailor learning to each student, hence I felt lessons were individualized and well paced. Miss Tiew taught me A-level Biology and it is with her guidance and help I achieved an A.
However, Miss Tiew is more than just an incredible biology tutor; she is a mentor and inspiration. Her guidance extended far beyond the A-level syllabus. She instilled in me not only a deep understanding of biology but also invaluable study skills and the ability to approach complex concepts with clarity and confidence.
Miss Tiew's unique ability to transform abstract biological processes into vivid mental images was instrumental in my learning. Her support and encouragement have been unwavering, even after I graduated from university. I owe my academic success and my lifelong passion for learning to her exceptional teaching and mentorship.
Her influence goes beyond the classroom. The study techniques she imparted have become an integral part of who I am as a learner. Miss Tiew didn't just teach me biology; she taught me how to think, how to learn, and how to excel. Her impact on my life is immeasurable.

If you think you know what a good teacher is, you probably haven't met Ms Tiew.
I joined Ms Tiew's biology tuition class halfway during J1, through the recommendation of a friend. I've been going to tuition for all of my life and I can vouch that Ms Tiew is truly one of a kind.
Ms Tiew is extremely meticulous and knowledgeable about the subject. The most important part is that she's super lovely and engaging. Ms Tiew effectively delivers her course material well.
I am a slow learner and Ms Tiew was patient with me right from the beginning. I am very impressed that she is able to connect and make me feel comfortable enough to ask any questions to her. She has always been kind to me and makes the tuition environment very safe and open for sharing.
Ms Tiew has so much knowledge to share that she will literally give you an entire stash of hand crafted notes, filled with her years of experience. She also has access to so many practice questions that you will definitely be well prepared for your A levels. I can still remember her driving over to my house during the study period to deliver the practice papers that has been marked and even more homework..... The fact that she makes time out of tuition hours to call/text you etc and make sure you truly understand what she is explaining makes her an outstanding tutor.
With her expertise, my grade went from U to A and I can only thank Ms Tiew for her dedication towards my improvement.
